First thoughts in the home journey- Great American Roofing

My husband and I are currently in a place in life where it’s definitely time to purchase a house. With rental properties constantly raising prices, we are so ready to start looking into purchasing. I have always told my husband that I would love to build a home.That being said I’ve learned there is so much more to this process than just dreaming it up! In building and keeping up with home details matter. Product matters, quality, builders, and the companies that we will choose to work with matter! Let me share a few of my current journey thoughts with you ….

1. I am not the home expert….

While it’s often the last thing on our minds, a good roof is one of the most important parts of building and keeping up with a home. I mean if you don’t have a roof the home just isn’t complete. Honestly this is something I haven’t thought about until now. Outside of blogging I also work in the banking field and can’t begin to tell you the number of people that I work with who need assistance with new roof financing. While I am not a roof expert, I’ve found a company that is - Great American Roofing Louisville.

1. First impressions and saving money are so important..

They always say that “first impressions are everything” and the name starts it off great for me lol. Whether it’s a new roof or one needing replaced, everything has to always be inspected first and with this company the inspection is absolutely free!! In case you didn’t believe it the first time, yes, the inspection is FREE! After 2020 and with all that’s happened this past year that is something that I have to look forward to! Even if we decide to purchase a home that isn’t new, it’s good to know that I won’t have to pay for something to be inspected that I may not choose to buy. Every dollar counts in this home buying process.

1. I need to know that the experts know what they’re doing ……

As stated above, roofing Is not my area of expertise. A girl like me has only noticed when a roof was super clean and beautiful, and/or leaking lol. While I am a huge fan of learning to do it yourself to save money, I also believe in consulting with and trusting the experts.

1. I want the quality for money …….

Great American prides themselves in great service! Working as consultants for their customers and always trying to find the most cost-efficient ways to get the job done. They also pride themselves in luxury and do not cut corners when it comes to their quality of work. I don’t know about you guys but when choosing to have someone else do something this big for me, I can be a bit of a low speaking micro manager lol. Only because I want to make sure that things are done right. Oftentimes when companies are assigned to build and or design there isn’t anyone there to oversee things. Great American keeps a team on site to make sure that the build is complete according to plan.

1. I want the comfort of knowing that if something happens, I am covered…

Great American also offers system warranties! I don’t purchase a warranty on everything, but with a roof it will be necessary.

I definitely feel comforted knowing that should we choose this route “Great American Roofing” has us covered! They are residential and also a Louisville KY commercial roofing company, so no matter if you need them to help at home, or at your business, they can do it all.
