BE Anxious for Nothing!

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 📷📩 I think at times we take scripture lightly and not exactly for what it is: powerful truth that’s meant to be effective. In the Bible, we get a “do it,” rather than say, “try.” In this passage it commands us to “BE!” Anxiety is something that many struggle with, but God never intended for us to live an anxious life. When faced with an unexpected circumstance, we can walk away with different burdens and naturally choose to keep them; for example, about 2 years ago I was in not 1, but 2 really bad car accidents. Not knowing what I know now, I took on fear and carried it as a burden for a long time. The Bible isn’t joking when it says fear torments. By no means I’m saying that you can’t be human; of course thoughts and emotions will come, but you have to do something with and about them. I overcame when I acknowledged that I carried fear as a burden. Jesus said that we must give him our fears and burdens, but like me, many of us keep them before we give them to Him. For future challenges, what I’ve learned is that giving them to him FIRST will help me experience God’s PEACE, quickly; instead of risking my heard and mind trying to take control myself. If I can do it then any one trusting Jesus can... He will always do His part but will you!?!?
