God Cares!

Matthew 6:27-30 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Do you ever take a minute to just observe and process everything? A lot of times we take life and the earth for granted. Everything God created, he created with a purpose and for himself. Sometimes we wonder why certain things exist, but without certain things, who knows how life would change. (Colossians 1:6) He created things with a seed inside to reproduce and the ability to take care of itself. If you're like me, you like to keep well dressed, or at least wear things that you like and feel comfortable in. In this passage it says to "consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, the neither toil nor spin". There's nothing wrong with being well dressed, but it's not something that God wants us to worry about. In the bible it says "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you". (Matthew 6:33) God knows everything that we have need of, he also knows our desires, but we have to put him first. When you choose to worry about other things more than you spend time with or think about God, you take God out of the equation. You should want God to bless everything that you put your hands to do. But he has to be first. We should have no other god before him and sometimes we idolize things and we don't even realize it. Tv shows, people, clothing, image, even work and church obligations. As I stated in a previous post, with God first, everything else works out! We all are here and were created for a purpose, but we need to find out what that purpose is. How? By spending time in prayer, fasting, reading and just listening as he speaks to you. In the end of the passage it states " If God cares about all of these things, that are cast into the oven tomorrow, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?" Wont you trust him?
