“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
Sometimes in our opinions people treat us bad. But as followers of Christ it’s our responsibility to love unconditionally just like Jesus loves us . It doesn’t justify their wrongs, but you never know why someone is acting the way that they are . If they had a bad childhood, someone passed away , or if life is really hitting them hard right now .
Before I go to work every morning I pray. I usually try to have devotional time every morning where I'm not rushing praying out of repetition, or just to get it done. We never want to get in a place where we're doing that. I remember one morning at one of my jobs, something happened. I can't remember the story, but whatever the encounter was with the customer really upset me. Normally what people say doesn't bother me, but this really did. To the point where when I came home I repented and asked God to help me because this was in my heart and I was really upset. I normally didn't feel like this, which is how I knew that something was wrong. Some people might say well... it's okay to be upset. That's okay, but being angry is different. If this thing is on your mind and you're very emotionally upset you might want to check your heart.
Sometimes we make excuses for ourselves, because of how people treated us, or what they said to us instead of allowing God to examine us in that situation. Now I wasn't rude back to that person at all, but in my heart< I was very upset and it stuck with me. The bible says that man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. What does yours look like on a daily basis? Yes you might smile, but do you curse others inwardly? Do you get irritated with people inwardly? If so, this is something that you need to personally ask God to help you with.
As christians sometimes we expect to run off of Sunday worship all week. That can't be so. You wouldn't expect your car to run on one tank of gas forever, it's the same with our salvation. We must daily allow God to examine us and cleanse us from all things unlike him so that we are not carrying them day to day.
Never take yourself out of your good place. You never know how much you could help or change someone’s life just by showing love ❤️ Remember you and me weren’t and sometimes are still not in a place where we deserve it but God gives it to us anyway and the things we have done have been a lot worse then the way someone made us feel five minutes ago. Maintain your authority by loving the way Christ does !
