It's your turn to do something!

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” ‭‭James‬ ‭2:17‬ ‭

At work sometimes when I have submitted an application for something, before we can see the status saying approved, certain paperwork might be required. When the paperwork is requested, it is no longer on us, but on the person who we are requesting it from. Sometimes people wait so long that a status can change from pending to incomplete.

It makes me think about our prayers, dreams, ect. How many things do we have in a pending or incomplete status because there are still things that God is waiting for us to do? He made us very capable, but just enough to still have to trust and depend on him.

A lot of times when it comes to accomplishing certain goals, aspirations or even dreams that God has given us, we tend to or have tended to slack or get behind. In the beginning we are usually pretty zealous, excited and ready to work! But what happens during the slow period, the period when we have to put in hard work and it seems like there is nothing happening. Some give up, but you can't!

This text says faith alone, without works is dead. Meaning we can believe, but we have to do something. Sometimes we sit around waiting, but we are capable of doing our part. What is your part? Getting started is the first step. Whether you're a writer, singer, musician, going back to school, starting your own business, anything.

I say it all the time, but its so true. All you have to do is daily submit yourself to God, do what you can and he will do the rest. Sometimes we don't know how to be spiritual and work. We have to believe and do our part.

It is great to have people there to help you, because you need people, but you cannot 100% depend on them because then you will blame them when things don't seem to be working out. I encourage you today to think about what your part is or what you are capable of and get started.

As hard as it may seem for you to see yourself the way that God sees you, his perception never changes. Until you see it, feel it begin to see what you saw before. Tell yourself what his word says. I used to think people were crazy for writing and saying affirmations, but they are so helpful. Tell yourself, you are capable, you are successful, and while you're doing that and your part watch things begin to come together for you! God didn't intend for you to live a struggling life and you don't have to !
