Love that binds!

Colossians 3:14: “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."

In about one month we will have been married for 4 years! To some that number may be small, but in this day in age I think that it's amazing! You may think that this is going to be some long mushy post lol, but I'll try keeping it short and sweet!

As a wife I have and am still learning so much! Marriage helps you grow so much as a person. It teaches you first hand how to walk like Jesus, because it starts at home 1'st. One thing that I've learned is how to be a "help meet". I have said this many times and will say it again "I love being who I am" and don't want to be the man, nor take the responsibility or accountability that he does lol. I am grateful for who God made me. I am grateful that I have someone who knows who he is and how to be a Godly man for me.

I'm not a push over, but because of great counseling, examples and Gods word I have learned how to be me confidently. Have you ever worked for a company? I'm sure you have lol! Everyone has a different position, but they all work together. With different positions come different and sometimes more responsibilities. Therefore more accountability.

In the garden when Eve sinned, God went to Adam, even though she gave him the fruit. Why? because he was responsible for them. As a wife we have influence because of the way that God created us. I take pleasure in not necessarily making our final family decisions, but helping my husband see things differently. Sometimes seeing the bigger picture of benefits and/or consequences of things making for a better outcome.

God never contradicts or goes against himself. So as we both spend time with and seek God individually, when we come together we should always be on the same page. Now sometimes you might have moments when God might show you something, and your spouse might not see it yet. Don't be discouraged, just leave it to God. It's nothing to worry about and that doesn't make you any better than him or her. I am always reminded that the only way to give love is to know love and to know love is to know Jesus, because he is love. This is what binds us together.
