Rise Up And Pray

"Rise Up And Pray". This caption just to happens to be perfect for 2020, right? I would normally say yes, but I think this caption just so happens to be right for everyday. Often times we have these big changes in life whenever something bad happens or when things just be seeming to going wrong, but what about on a daily basis. It's so sad to see that sometimes we only say "God is good" when we're riding high in life, when everything is just perfect.

You see prayer isn't just for us asking for what we want, but it's the communication we have between us and God himself. There's a scripture that I love in John chapter 1, that says " and the word was God". God is God, but he's his word, and the only way we can know him personally is by giving our lives to Jesus and learning his word. Learning what he actually says about our everyday life.

There are so many things in life that we try to figure out on our own. From building things to travel plans lol. There is no short cut when it comes to this christian life, there's only one way and that's through Jesus Christ. Which you think would make things easier, but it doesn't. It takes surrender and sacrifice. But I've got good news my friend! He's there to help you every single step of the way and there's so much joy in this walk.

So I want to encourage you today! It's during times like these, times like this 2020 pandemic which has lasted longer than any of us would think, that we really need to reevaluate. Time for us to really live for what we say we believe in. In the morning, in the evening, even throughout the day, don't lose your communication with Jesus. If you don't know him, his line is always open. Time to rise up effectively and pray !
