What if?

When closing your eyes, it's so much easier to be able to focus. I like to say "what if" a lot. So what if for split moment, you were able to see where the path you're currently on in life will take you? Would you keep heading in the same direction? What if you could see yourself and every decision you make from Gods point of view? Would you continue?
Some might say yes, some might say no. It's something to really, really think about. Every single day we make decisions that not only will affect the future of those after us, but our own. What we eat, where we go, how we take care of ourselves. From a a natural perspective, these are all things that could cause generational effects. From a spiritual side, unfortunately, it' not only the things we don't do that can affect the future our future, but those after us as well. As a human we have so much more power than we think we do. In the beginning God gave man dominion over every living thing. Man sinned and it separated him from God, but then Jesus came. Jesus not only dying and being raised from the dead, but now living on the inside of those who have chosen to accept him, that dominion has been restored. We have this book, this amazing book called the "Bible". This is where we learn about who God is, and who he says that we are. Sometimes it can be hard for some to read the bible, but that's what we have his spirit in us for. He promised that his Holy Spirit would lead us and guide us into all truth. (John 16:13) It's okay sometimes to say God I don't understand, help me understand. Sometimes you won't until later, but that's okay. It's like eating your vegetables. For some they don't like them and don't understand why they need to eat them. Later, however, you see the benefits of eating them. You feel better, you look better and you're stronger, more able to focus. It's similar, but greater when reading God's word. My prayer for you today is that as you spend time with God, even if it's your first time, as you read his word, that you will begin to see yourself the way that he sees you. Sometimes in prayer I ask God to show me myself, the way he sees me, and fix those areas that I have fallen short in. Only he can make us clean.
So finally "what if" today, you take some time to allow God to show you just by the decisions you've made so far where you're headed? What if today you make a decision to allow him to order your steps, so that you are always making sure that you are headed in the same direction? What if?
