You don't have to prove yourself!

1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Looking at a picture, you could “assume” a lot about a person. Looking at this picture, you probably wouldn’t know that I felt like I was going to throw up ! Why? Because all you are able to see is what I’m showing on the outside. What if things changed? What if just for one day you could view the heart of every person that you came in contact with? It might be a good thing for some, but for some of us not so good. You'd be able to see motives, and who people really are. So many times as human beings we think we have to prove ourselves to become great in life . If we could only change our focus. David was chosen because of his heart towards God, he was a man after God’s own heart. There were others that looked like they should be chosen but God kept saying no. David didn’t have to say here I am choose me ! So many say choose me, but are you really ready for what you’re asking for ? What we have to really realize and not just know is that “we need God to do what God has called us to do “. Aside from any title you’re called to be a disciple of Christ! Always following and always learning . As you choose to submit to God and really build a relationship with him , you will not only begin to discover who you are , but who he is in you . Don’t spend your entire life “dating God” and never becoming who you’re meant to be . The Bible says your “gift will make room for you and bring you before great men”, but it’s not your job to figure out how that works . It’s your job to submit and be prepared for when you arrive . Are you ready?
