Your Shepherd is looking for you!

11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. 12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? 13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

Sitting here thinking...pondering and looking back a bit. Have you ever been in love?, or thought you were in love?

Do you remember how you felt? Wanting to be around that person or talk to them all the time, making an effort to give and invest your time with them, making sure that the relationship was growing. Our relationship with God desires this and so much more.

We (myself) included fall short on a daily basis because we continuously put things and people before him. We put things that we do for him like ministry before him too. It's crazy right? but it happens. I am guilty of it. We need God in order to do the things that we do for him. Whether it be leading, teaching, singing , preaching, or playing. We need Jesus.

It's crazy how after excepting Jesus things change so much. Your sins can change from making right moral decisions to learning discipline in your walk with Christ. Making time for him and not getting too busy. I recently got so busy with things that it started affecting how I operate in those things. Why? because the time that I normally put in my relationship with God , I hadn't been . You can only go so long on your own energy, before things start to go bad. If God gave you dreams, remember that he has equipped you to be able to carry them out, but you have to remember that you need him every single day. Nothing and no one should come before him. We cannot assume that just because he is a graceful God that we just keep on sinning and being disobedient.

God doesn't just want us to come to him when we need something, or because we have ministry to do. No! He wants us to come and just spend time with him, focus on him and allow him to take on our worries and cares. If he is first, it makes everything else balance out and work out.

So if you haven't, I encourage you today to really think. Think about where you are now, what's working, what's not working and what you may or may not be doing right. How are you spending your time? Are you investing more in yourself, than allowing God to invest in you? Are you reliable? Can he trust you with the gifts that he's given you? Is is still about him, or is it about you?

We serve a merciful God, and it's in these moments that we must daily allow his word to examine our hearts so that we are always a pure reflection of him. We should be in such a place that God has not choice but to honor his word because we are honoring and obeying his word.

I used to be in such a place with God that nothing else mattered. I love my husband but that can't compare. As we get busy let us remember that Christ our first love, should always remain our first love every single day.

This text says that he came to seek and save the lost. The lost aren'y just non believers. Lost doesn't mean that you've fallen back into your old lifestyle. Lost can mean your focus has changed, you distracted, your heart isn't in the right place, or you just lack spending time with God. We get lost and he comes after us and gives us a choice to respond to his call. Will you?
